Makes 3 servings (double meat for more, do not double sauce!)
Ingredients
- 750g beef chuck roast or beef short ribs
- 1/2 cup beef broth or stock
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/8 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 Tbs soy sauce
- 1/8 tsp crushed chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Pepper
- 1 sprig rosemary
- To serve, rice or potatoes, side of roast veges (or whatever)
Method
- Mix the marinade together and put into the slow cooker, adding the meat on top.
- Drizzle some marinade over the top of the meat.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- If the sauce is not thick and syrupy, put it into a small pot and heat on high until the sauce reduces.
- Prior to serving, shred the meat and mix some sauce into it.
